Results of Questionnaire
Conclusion
1. This result stated that the amount of audience I asked to the questionnaire most of them were females and a few were males this I believe would have an impact on my overall results because females opinions are different from males.
2. This result also shows the age difference between the audiences I asked to do my questionnaire. This here also has an effect because certain ages are more matured than others which means some answer may vary
3. This result simply tells me the amount of the participants who partook in my questionnaire watch a lot of movies which means that creating a teaser trailer could have potential viewers.
4. This result is to show whether my participants are interested in horror movies. In which most said no due to the fact that it’s quite frightening instead of entertaining. This result could be the outcome of most participants being 17, because there might not be matured enough to be prone to horror movies.
5. This result simply connotes the time my participants expects to see a movie teaser trailer for, as they claim they want it short and snappy so it would make them want to go to the cinema to see it as they wouldn’t loose interest if its short.
6. This result is also the preferred genre of my audience as most of them find interest in Zombie horror films. I believe that this genre is wide spread and it’s commonly known to this age group which may be the reason why they find interest in it.
7. This result connotes the choice of sound at the background of a teaser trailer and most audience who partook in the questionnaire claim to prefer a soundtrack at the background of their teaser trailer as it draws their attention more. So as we would put into place a soundtrack at the background of our teaser trailer.
8. This result is simply to do with the tempo of the soundtrack if placed within the trailer. My participants claim to enjoy a slow tempo soundtrack as it builds up tension and suspense within the trailer and also helps viewers understand what’s going on.
9. This result still got to do with the soundtrack as I gave my participants 3 choice of soundtrack the liked and most audience choose the second one, the reason being is that it sounds more evil and horrific as there were frightened themselves.
10. This result is also to do with the pace of the actual teaser trailer. My participants preferred to view a slow paced teaser trailer as if the trailer is slow it simply helps them understand what is going on and also they can grasp the key scene in which can convince them to go see it in the cinema. 11. This result simply makes us the makers think how we should structure the scenes as from the result of the questions the participant don’t want to see a lot of scenes in a teaser trailer as the claim it gives away the uniqueness of the trailer as if there’s a lot of scenes they wont bother going to the cinema to view it as they have already scene the main scenes.
12. This result is simply to do with how much storyline we have to give away and the audience made us realise that we don’t have to give away much because they would be eager to see what would happen next but if we give away the storyline they would use their initiative to predict what would happen next.
13. This result is to do with the elements of the teaser trailer as participants mainly choose to see scary scenes as it instantly attracts their eyes in to viewing scarier scenes.
14. This result simply gives us an idea whether we should use text in our teaser trailer. And the audience of the questionnaire claim to not be interested in text and it distracts them in seeing the trailer and also it delays the trailer.
15. This result actually tells us what we need to put into place to draw the attention of our target audience. Most participants claim to see the advertisement of trailers more on televisions than posters, online and magazines. This actually helps us think carefully where we need to advertise our product.
