We done some research on the make-up and costume of the characters that's in our trailer, we looked at video make-up tutorial to help us and then carried some out ourselves. We then looked at some costume that could be suitable for them and their characteristics and put into a collage for one and then have the actual costume and make-up the characters will wear.
RESEARCH
Make- Up
This clip is an insight on how we would like our character to look like. The most important detail from this clip is her hair and how it drops down and covers a lot of her face. This is very effective for a Japanese horror as it suggest creepiness and hidden identity.
We are attracted to the eyebrow look as it enhances the eyes more. However as we do not want to put glue on the actress eyebrows we are going to replace it with white eyeshadow which would hopefully give the same effect.

From this clip we liked the way that she made her face white, although we are not going to make our character this pale, but we like the technique she used and the effect of it.

This clip is very useful as we like the way she used the eyeshadow as it helps highlight the characters eyes which is an eye catching feature for the audience. Although we are going to use more dull colors like black white and maybe a hint of gold to be more efficient for the genre of the trailer.
This is when we tried out the make up for the evil character and took several photos, the eye liner was a bit too thick and didn't look like a ghost so when we do the make- up for the real filming of our trailer, we will make it thinner but her face will be pale as how it is shown above. Doing this, it helps know what we should and shouldn't do for our actual filming and give us an idea if it'll look real or not. We also tried to take photos on the white and black background to see it she will stand out along with the make-up.
Costume
Here is the research we would want for our male character and put it as a collage, him wearing something simple and casual since he's a student going college and we feel this is suitable for him.
ACTUAL COSTUMES AND MAKE-UP
Ken Takashi
We chose this costume for the male character in our trailer because it is suitable for this characteristics, it's not formal or too formal but suits college life and with his popularity as one characteristics, wearing this would be most appropriate. As this character is a boy, there wouldn't be any make-up needed for him.
