Q3 what have you learned form your audience feedback
To begin of by making it clear that after months of hard workand effort to produce a final magazine front cover, a final film poster and
finally a final teaser trailer. It would be much more enhanced by getting our audience to let us know their personal opinions about our hard work we put into the creation of these products stated above. In order for us to get the views from our audience we accomplished it through face to face interviews by having the product in front of them which includes a coloured print out of the film poster, a coloured print out of the magazine cover and also a screen view of the teaser trailer using a computer device. Also we grabbed some feedback using
online devices such as face book, twitter YouTube and blackberry messenger.

Feedback through interviews was really helpful as well as feedback through social networks such as twitter and face book was also supportive because as it was a social public networking sites a range amount of audiences could view the product and share their views on it. Also YouTube being a public and worldwide broadcasting site a wide variety of audience could view our teaser trailer and also comment on them. This online YouTube feedback was a great idea as individual audiences could share the teaser trailer on their social networking walls so others can also have a look at it and also share their view by commenting. YouTube also was used as a device to promote out teaser trailer in order for us to receive feedback from our audiences. Facebook and YouTube had a share and like toolbar which was very useful. As a group we decided that face book and blackberry messenger would be a main target to getting reasonable feedback. This is because blackberry messenger application allows a user to send a broadcast to all their connected friends which was another way to promote our trailer. Face book also allows you to share the teaser trailer on friend’s wall in which friends of friends can also view.
Face book gave us the opportunity to share our teaser trailers on friends wall (as shown on the image on the left hand side) as I spoke about earlier as a way to promote our trailer so that friends of these friends can also view the teaser trailer and perhaps if they found it interesting they can also share it on their wall for their friends to view it which massively promotes the trailer. For people to know that our trailer is out, we send broadcasts through our personal blackberry devices which were used as a promotion device so our contacts can get to hear about the trailer and also view it so that they can also rebroadcast the entail broadcast to their friends so it promotes the teaser trailer.

Poster feedback
The feedback in which we received from the poster was very positive and fairly pleasing as we also posted the poster onto Facebook to get
some feedback on what the audience thought. We receive a reasonable amount of likes which set a good note on the poster as we presumed that the poster was good and the audience found it quite unique and well edited. We have followed the conventions of a horror poster so it would perhaps have a positive impact on our audience. We receive positive feedback from colleagues in which the thought it was’ well designed’ and some also said it was ‘unique’. These comments gave us confidence in our film poster.

We also done on the spot interviews whereby we had a printed version of the poster in our hands and went around the college premises to get

This person taught that the poster looks ‘plain’ but at the same time it looks ‘professional’. He also made criticism about the size of the‘coming soon’. As he said that it would be better if ‘the size is bigger and perhaps blood dripping to emphasise on the horror genre’.

The poster feedback we received was quite great and phenomenal as we showed it to teachers as well as our media teachers and they also gave us positive feedback stating out the fact that we have used the Japanese writing which makes it quite foreign and authentic and also backs up the comment on YouTube which also shared similar view which stated that the Japanese captions we used makes it looks authentic. So overall we were pleased with the feedback we received for a film poster.
Magazine feedback
The feedback in which we got on our horror magazine was fairly reasonable in a sense that the majority of the audience we asked for feedback
said ‘it is very well designed’. This comment really pointed out the fact that we have followed the conventions of horror and also we have putting it to effect very well.
As a group we believe that our horror magazine follows the conventions of a j-horror magazine very well. The image shown below is the image of our horror magazine compare to a j-horror magazine. As shown you can see that our follow the j-horror conventions in the aspects of the female killer and also the darkness of the background simply to make it look horrific and frightening. This made us get the positive feedback from our audiences in which we much expected that as we had put in a lot of effort to follow these conventions.

We used on the spot interviews to get some feedback of the audience which was done on college premises. As the age group of college students is more or less our target audience. An example is the video at the bottom of this text. This girl was asked what she liked about the magazine as she commented that she likes ‘the big image’ as it stood out and caught her eye at the first look of it. She also commented that she likes ‘the big Chinese writing on the bottom’as it caught her attention straight away.
She also made negative comments on the magazine and she stated that even though the chines writing at the bottom stood out she don’t understand it and the ‘text of the cover lines don’t stand out’. This back up the other comment on Facebook which also said the ‘text’ used for the cover lines are a bit unclear.
Trailer feedback
This is a screen image of the comments we received from the audience worldwide on YouTube. The comments overall was very pleasing. Especially this comment ‘got me slightly scared’ backs up the point that we have clearly represented the horror genre clearly as it had a slight impact and effectiveness on the audience. As a group we thought that this comment ‘OMG~!!! 100% subscribing and sharing <3 when's the movie coming out!! please i'm whiling to watch it!! :)’ really showed that our trailer was really good and perhaps our hard work has paid off. It also boosts our confidence as a group as we expect for more promotion. Another comment stated that ‘ it looks like a pro did it’this comment simply shows that the skills in which our editor has developed through how the course has been put to a good use and an audience
has acknowledged it. It also shows that perhaps our editing skills a close to more professional editing and movies companies such as Warner bros.

This image on the left hand side simply shows the views we have got so far by our audience and how many dislikes and likes we have got. There are 3 dislikes which could be that the audience was frightened because of the horror genre our maybe other personal reasons.
This image on the left hand side is a YouTube screen image of our horror teaser trailer stats. These stats simply show us the age group as well as the gender of the viewers of our teaser trailer. The places around the world in which our trailer has be view (e.g. America, Japan, Australia, Spain etc…..). It gives a figure of the ratings of our teaser trailer as well as it gives information on the devices, sites, and links in which the viewers watched our teaser trailer through. It also gives dates in which this occurred and the amount of views each. As shown audience viewed our teaser trailer though twitter, mobile device and also though other related videos.

As we spoke about that we used blackberry messenger to promote
our teaser trailer we also use the device to receive feedback from the teaser
trailer. As you can see on the image on the left hand side, as an audience he
thought that overall the teaser trailer was ‘very good’ as we have made the
message of the story ‘clear’ he also said that we have not given away too much
which is good as if too much is given away you wouldn’t want to go see the full
movie as you can easily predict what will happen next.
Also he gave us negative feed back on the trailer in which he
stated that ‘the text size we used was too small’ which audience with bad
eyesight will perhaps find it difficult to read and also follow the story
line’. Is very good to receive non favourable comments as it helps to build on
the areas where you have fallen short.
In conclusion the whole audience feed back we received from the audience of the different media product we came up with such us the teaser
trailer horror magazine and film poster, as I group we thought that the feedback was good in a sense that as much us the was criticism we believe that it was just advice so we can improve it to make it a more quality product. The audience felt that out media product was unique due to the genre we choose and also it was great how we put it all together and made it good. The audience also made it clear how we have portrayed the genre in each of out media product clearly and boldly.
