Examples of other Moodboards...
Moodboard 1: Here is an example of an existing mood board. From first looking at this example, I can tell that there is a consistent topic surrounding the film theme of 'Horror'. I know this due to the selective use of images they have used. The piece also includes a range of captions located around the bottom of the piece. The images all relate and tell the same story, one example of image that struck out was the use of black and white image of a women with eyes closed with the disfigured face with opened mouth breathing onto her face. his face connotes he's hungry.

Moodboard 2: Here is an another example of an existing mood board. From first looking at this example, I can tell that there is a consistent topic surrounding the film theme of 'Horror'. I know this due to the selective use of images they have used. The piece includes a slight glow around the images which connote ghostly, which related back to the genre of 'J-Horror'. But as I look closely into this moodboard, there is a slight mixture of genre, I can see a genre of 'Slasher' in this piece, due to the fact I can see blood and a knife.

Stage 3: In stage 3 I built up more images together, to make it look like they are suppose to be together I used the 'rubber' tool to rub out the sides to collide the images together.
|
Stage 4: In stage 4 I still added more images to fill up the page, which relates to 'J-Horror'. I then added a small area on the top left to add in our company logo.

Final Moodboard
About the moodboard:
A mood board is a type of poster design that may consist of images, text, and samples of objects. Mood boards are often used to illustrate visually. Creating a mood board for a horror trailer in a digital aspect helps give a collage mood of the trailer. A typical Japanese trailer would be everyone vengeful ghosts, long black hair covering the face, little ghost boys, cursed videos. Our trailer our genre was 'J-Horror' so to get a mood of J-Horror I added images of Asian figures, that relate to our trailer, for example our main boy is a Asian guy, so by adding a mysterious Asian male in the mood board you get an idea of what our trailer could possibly be about. I decided to use minimal of red, about our trailer wasn't a 'Slasher trailer', and because Japanese horror don't really have blood so I decided to keep that convention constant. I decided to my photoshop skills and use overlay to overlap the images together to makes the Mood board look fluent, so the pictures wasn't bold which would have looked boring and wouldn't have followed a convention of J-Horror. To really get in the mood of Japanese horror, I decided to add Japanese text, to sum up the Mood board.
